How to play

  • Use the arrow keys (or swipe) to move the tiles;
  • If two tiles of the same number (say X) collide while moving, they will merge into one (2X);
  • After each move, one tile randomly appears in an empty spot with a value of either 2 or 4;
  • You win when you reach the magical value of 2048. After that, you can choose if you want to continue playing with that board or play a new game;
  • The game ends when there are no legal moves (there are no empty spaces and no adjacent tiles with the same value).

Basic tips

  • Plan ahead before each movement;
  • Try to always keep the highest value tile at one of the corners.
